Mrs Anastasia Spanou, is a Building Physicist, specializing in energy saving in greenhouses. She graduated from the Physics Dept. of the University of Athens, Greece (BSc, MSc) and has specialized in environmental physics. Her main research activities and responsibilities are on energy efficiency of buildings, Indoor Air Quality (IAQ), rating techniques, passive cooling techniques, and sustainable design strategies. She works as a research scientist in the Center for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES) with her participation in a variety of National and European projects in energy conservation and the integration of renewable energies in the building sector. She is the creator of the www.energyhubforall.eu, under the Request2Action project (IEE Program). Also, she was working as a research scientist in the Group of Building Environmental Studies (University of Athens) and has participated in a variety of national and European research and applied projects in energy conservation, integration of renewable energies in buildings, indoor air quality, thermal comfort and passive cooling.
